About ACERO

We built the firm
we wished existed.

ACERO was founded on a simple conviction and a clear frustration: that the right people are the foundation of every company — and that the industry built to find them stopped evolving decades ago.

Why we exist

The lesson came the hard way.

Building a company from the ground up, we learned that talent isn't one input among many —it's the input. A company is only as strong as its weakest link, no matter the industry. We watched exceptional hires change the trajectory of a business, and we watched the wrong ones quietly set it back a year.

So we went looking for help — and found that the firms meant to solve this were the problem. Talent sourced from the outside rarely fit. The process was slow, transactional, and built around volume instead of judgment. We ended up building our own approach to finding great people because nothing on the market actually worked.

That approach became ACERO. A firm built from the start around a different belief about what hiring is for.

What we stand against

An industry optimized for activity, not outcomes.

For decades, recruiting has scaled the same way: add recruiters, send more résumés, move faster. The model rewards motion — submittals, placements, volume — and quietly tolerates the cost: roles filled with people who fit the requisition but not the role. Teams weakened one "good enough" hire at a time.

It's an industry that runs on bodies instead of systems, where the quality of your hire too often depends on which recruiter happened to pick up your account. Speed at the expense of precision. People treated as inventory.

We think that's not just inefficient — it's backwards. The point was never to fill the seat fast. The point was to find the person who makes the company stronger.

Our answer

Modern systems for speed.
Human judgment for fit.

The two don't have to trade off — but it takes building the firm differently to get both. We use modern infrastructure to do what machines do well: surface the full market in hours, coordinate a process without friction, move at a speed legacy firms can't match. And we keep human judgment exactly where it belongs — deciding who is actually right.

The technology is quiet and constant. The relationships are the center, and always will be. The result is the standard the industry forgot: fewer candidates, better fit, faster placement — without ever lowering the bar.

Human at the Core. Precision in Every Layer.

What guides us

Four beliefs. Everything follows from them.

01

Human Intelligence

Relationships and judgment lead. Systems serve them, never the reverse.

02

Precision

The few right candidates over the many available. Nothing accidental, nothing padded.

03

Modern Systems

A quietly advanced operation, built so the experience feels effortless and the speed is real.

04

Intentional Growth

Long-term partnerships over transaction counts. The right hire over the fast one.

Who we are

Built by people who've done the work.

ACERO is led by a team that has built companies, run recruiting from the inside, and placed the kind of talent that changes a business. We've been the hiring manager frustrated by a stack of wrong-fit résumés. We've been the operators who learned that nothing great gets built without the right people to build it.

Elena LaMadrid

Founder & CEO

Elena LaMadrid left home at 16 to train and perform with Houston Ballet, later joining Nashville Ballet. After retiring from the stage, she began a doctorate in physical therapy — a plan COVID cut short. In 2021, she launched a Nashville Pilates studio instead, growing it to 500+ members and a 22-person team, then led its 2025 rebrand to Somos Pilates Nashville before selling it in 2026. That business taught her the lesson Acero is built on: every system mattered less than who she hired to run it. Elena is Co-Founder and CEO, leading talent strategy for aerospace, manufacturing, and engineering.
